How we work with clients
Farrier works as a growth and revenue partner to founder-led businesses that are ready to move to the next stage.
Our role is to bring clarity to growth decisions, design systems that support those decisions, and stay closely involved to ensure they are executed properly over time. We are hands-on where it matters, selective about where effort is applied, and deliberate in how decisions are made.
We do not sell tactics in isolation. We take responsibility for direction, structure, and judgement.
What we take responsibility for
Farrier’s work is grounded in a small set of responsibilities that guide every engagement.
Direction and judgement
We help determine where growth should come from, what matters most, and what should be deprioritised. This includes assessing the offer, demand, positioning, and constraints before execution begins.
System Design
We design growth and revenue systems that fit the business. This may include messaging and positioning, funnel and landing page structure, acquisition strategy, and how sales and marketing interact. Every part of the system is designed to support the same outcome.
Selective execution
Where appropriate, we are directly involved in execution. This can include paid acquisition, landing page creation, messaging refinement, and system implementation. Execution is intentional and controlled, not rushed or volume-driven.
Ongoing review and decision support
We stay involved over time to review performance, analyse what is working, and adjust direction as new information emerges. The focus is on protecting capital, avoiding unnecessary complexity, and building momentum that compounds.
How engagements are structured
Farrier works on a retainer basis, with a limited number of clients at any one time.
Engagements are designed to allow for:
Ongoing thinking and decision support
Hands-on involvement where it adds value
Flexibility as the business evolves
There are no rigid packages. Scope is defined clearly at the outset and reviewed as the work progresses. Clients are free to withdraw, but the work is most effective when there is continuity and shared commitment.
What this work requires
A good engagement is collaborative.
Growth works best when both sides are involved, challenged, and accountable. We expect clients to engage thoughtfully, provide context, and participate in decisions. Progress is rarely linear, and clarity comes from working through problems together rather than outsourcing responsibility.
As a simple analogy: the work functions best when it feels like a rally, not a hand-off.
What we don’t do
Farrier is not a fit for:
Short-term tactics or quick wins
One-sided relationships
Work that prioritises activity over understanding
We will say no when something doesn’t make sense. That restraint is intentional and part of the value we provide.
Who this is for
Farrier works best with:
-
Founder-led businesses
-
Teams ready to move deliberately to the next stage
-
Clients who value clarity, judgement, and long-term thinking
If that describes how you approach growth, a conversation is the right place to start.
